The Forrest Family Ministry Center

The Forrest Family Ministry Center is Grace’s brand new facility which will make possible a number of activities for our church family and the surrounding community. It will be used to host regular Grace ministries, special gatherings, and outreach opportunities which facilitate the spread of the Gospel. During the renovation of the Worship Center in 2019, the Ministry Center will also serve as a welcoming place for Sunday worship services. Named after the family of Marion Forrest, a Founding Pastor of Grace, the Ministry Center represents a vital part of our mission: training in preparation for service. The Ministry Center is the continuation of the vision Pastor Marion and his wife had when they began a Bible study in the basement of their home, and it will facilitate the training and sending of many believers as they seek to take the message of the Gospel to a world in need.

Multipurpose Space

Forming the core of the Ministry Center, the new multipurpose space will host gatherings of larger groups. Weddings, memorial services, kids’ events, games, communion, and many others will find their perfect fit in this space. During the Worship Center renovation in 2019, the multipurpose space will also host Sunday worship services.

Classrooms

Classrooms are one of the core features of the Ministry Center. In spaces like these, we’ll gather for training opportunities, small groups, fellowship, and more. Four large classrooms can be segmented into eight smaller rooms for maximum flexibility. The classroom adjacent to the main entrance features sliding glass doors, allowing for overflow space and a more expansive feeling.

Full-Service Kitchen

Until now, we’ve never had the food preparation capabilities that the new Ministry Center kitchen will provide. This full-service kitchen will allow us to store, cook, bake, warm, and serve food throughout the Ministry Center via pass-through windows in the hallway and in the multipurpose space.

State-of-the-Art Features

The Ministry Center is designed with contemporary fixtures and finishes throughout. Each classroom is equipped with a self-serve presentation center including a projector and speakers. The multipurpose space includes modern audio, video, and lighting equipment around the platform. Digital signage in the hallways provides a clean and welcoming presentation for our guests.

Progress

This timelapse shows construction progress on the Ministry Center from November 2017–July 2018.

We’re praising God that the Ministry Center is fully-funded and that construction continues to progress well. Please pray for the construction work yet to be done, for the safety of the crew, and for the remainder of our Reaching Beyond campaign. We’re close to our total goal of $11 million as we prepare for the final phase of the project: the renovation of the Worship Center!
